History of the familyname

Amistar is a familyname from Susanna Amistar. She married a DeSilva Kaspar Anton in 1678 and she was the last Amistarchild from the Amistarfamily. So, we´ve got this name and my idea was as one of the oldest winery here to use Amistar for the special qualities --  Just to produce something special with the name of our old spanish family.

DeSilva was our old name before we´ve got Sölva.  The name changed in lot of years to Sölva.  Andrea DeSilva was from Madrid and he came in Italy in 1200 as a vintner and so starts this long story of winemaking...1731 was the foundation of our winery, also to produce wine and sell wine in 50 liter barrels around our region...
